Lab Safety Certification

This curriculum web will prepare you to participate safely in laboratory activities in Physical Science, Chemistry and Physics. In order to protect students and school property from accidents caused by carelessness or misuse of laboratory equipment, it is important for students to achieve proficiency in science safety procedures and rules.

During this series of activities, you will learn about common laboratory equipment, safety equipment and basic safety rules and procedures. You will then look at lab safety plans, both educational and commercial, and suggest improvements to the lab safety plan at your school.
